Just Solve It Math Tutor

Although my emphasis is on high school math, I work with students of all ages and abilities. I have experience with middle school students, college students, graduate students, and adults who are preparing for other degrees or certifications.  

I have a good track record when it comes to helping students to learn math in a way that is enjoyable and reduces any math anxiety that may be traumatic to my students or their parents.  

For example, a significant problem that students experience, especially when they are in more advanced courses, is that their test questions go beyond the homework and require quick, creative thinking under pressure. 

Over the years, I have become adept at anticipating the types of test questions that may be given in a particular course. 

Once I've made certain that a student is comfortable with the homework, I begin working with the student on likely test questions. 

Many students have told me that this approach has been a lifesaver for them.

I have found that if I go over the concepts before they come up in the classroom, it allows the student to absorb the material better as it is presented by the teacher, and it relieves a common source of anxiety.
